CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA) PROGRAM

Certified Nursing Assistant Program

Become a CNA and an efficient member of a health care team. Take temperatures and pulse, assist with patient hygiene, make beds and chart patient information, among other things. Combines 60 hours of theory with 110 hours of clinical practice at a local nursing facility. Prepare for the Red Cross exam. Graduate job-ready, with a resume and cover letter. Course fee: $1,200

ARBORICULTURE

Arboriculture Training

Learn tree care, biology and anatomy, worker safety and best practices in tree management. This class provides the path for career advancement for arborists or landscape professionals. Avid gardeners who want to expand their knowledge are welcome. Participants who complete the course will be encouraged to take the certification exam through the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA). Students are required to purchase the current Arborists’ Certification Study Guide, (International Society of Arboriculture, 2010) before the first class session. Click here to purchase this study guide. CPR

CPR for Health Professionals

This is an American Medical Association certified course for Healthcare Professionals in Basic Life Support training. Train to work as an Instructional Assistant in the Napa Valley Unified School District. Understand the roles and responsibilities required to assist classroom instructors. Veterinary Assistant $1199

Assist the Veterinarian or the Veterinary Technician in their daily tasks. Learn basic animal care – examine pets for signs of illness, disease, or injury.
